Position Overview:
We are looking for an Office Manager and Bookkeeper who thrives on organization, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to learn and adapt. This role will oversee our internal operations while providing vital bookkeeping support to our accountants and nonprofit clients. Key Responsibilities:
Office Management (Internal):
- Keep our internal operations running smoothly by managing schedules, team workflows, and technology platforms like ClickUp, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
- Maintain and improve internal policies, procedures, and documentation for efficiency and clarity.
- Serve as the go-to person for administrative support, troubleshooting issues with a proactive and positive approach.
- Process firm payroll using Gusto.
- Prepare monthly billing documents for review.
Client Bookkeeping Support (External):
- Provide accurate and detail-oriented bookkeeping support, including data entry, transaction categorization, reconciliations, and audit preparation using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Ensure client financial records are up to date, organized, and audit ready.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and address bookkeeping-related questions with clarity and professionalism.
- Assist with smooth onboarding processes for new clients, supporting our mission to deliver excellent service.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 4+ years in office management and bookkeeping, ideally with exposure to non-profit financials.
- Tech-Savvy Mindset: Comfortable using QuickBooks Online (QBO), Gusto, ClickUp, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook) or similar platforms. Eager to learn and embrace new technologies that enhance productivity.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills. A problem-solver with a compassionate attitude who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bookkeeping Certification, QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification, or similar credentials.
Location: Must reside in Washington State.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $32 – $35 per hour, depending on experience.
